It has been four months
since we held the first installation of officers of the Philippine Nurses Association of Oregon and Washington, but I still
feel elated with the wonderful and inspiring compliments that had been received about the success of this event.
It was almost a let down when this affair was over.
Those who participated in making it happen surely miss the camaraderie, the laughter, the family atmosphere and of
course the “yummy” and “heart-healthy” food, thanks to our “Iron Chef”, Sophie Kesinger.
The success of our association’s first Induction Ball was the result of its members’
hard work, enthusiasm, dedication, talent and team spirit. Our special thanks
go to the PNAA officers, who came from distant places to be here for this event.

We also have numerous people, organizations and businesses to thank for their support
of our endeavor. We would like to express our appreciation to: Joe Ramirez for spending countless hours sewing the dancers’ costumes, Myrna Boyce for her wonderful
emceeing of the program, Lisa Florentino and Dr. Clayton Udarbe for their great renditions of the Philippine Kundimans and
Merla Macapinlac for sacrificing her time and effort teaching the native dance steps of our performers.
Our heartfelt thanks
to each and everyone who helped make our first dinner dance event an evening to remember.
