2009 “A Taste of the Philippines”

August 01, 2009 - Fundraising Lunch:

The Philippine Nurses Association of Oregon & Washington chapter will be hosting their 2009 “A Taste of the Philippines” Authentic Island Lunch on Saturday August 01, 2009 from 11 AM to 1 PM located at the Tualatin Heritage Center, in Tualatin, Oregon 97062. Proceeds go to the Philippine Medical Mission.

Big Al's Bowling - Spring Fundraiser:

2009 “Spring Fever” Fundraising Dinner Dance:

The Philippine Nurses Association of Oregon & Washington chapter will be hosting their 2009 “Spring Fever” Fundraising Dinner Dance on May 9th, 2009 at Legin Restaurant in Portland, OR. This event will help PNA-OR/WA jumpstart their 2009 fundraising campaign. Partial proceeds of this dinner dance will be donated to the Philippine Nurses Association of America to help with their Gawad Kalinga Project & the Kababayan Emergency Preparedness Fund. 29th PNAA Annual National Convention

The theme was “Power the Passion for Nursing” which included clinical excellence, technology, professional dedication, and community involvement. There were approximately 200 attendees from the PNAA 38 chapters. The message from the new PNAA President Leo Jurado’s was replace leadership with stewardship by creating a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the outcome. 2008   January  Philippine Medical Mission:

In February 2008, some of the members from the Philippine Nurses Association of Oregon & Washington chapter traveled to Imugan, Nueva Viscaya in the Philippines to perform a medical mission.  It was quite an experience trying to have everybody together as we all went home on a different days. January 31st the group met in Manila and headed to Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija to prepare for the Medical Missions. continue with event…

PNA-OR/WA exists for the purpose of promoting fellowship and unity among Filipino nurses to improve the community health care environment and the advancement of the nursing profession.
